A study published in Annals of Internal Medicine, reviewing data on the use of human growth hormone (GH) by otherwise healthy elderly people, revealed that the synthetic hormone had few health benefits and did pose some health risks.

they need to do more studies on aging people, especially women. I have been on it, off label but prescribed, for osteopenia, almost two years (low dose), and have not had a fracture since, used to have at least one every year or so. Also helped with mood, memory and sleep. The side effects they are talking about are at high doses and many of them are short term and go away. I think in certain aging people who are low initially, it can be a great way to stay out of nursing homes.
